Our iconic QPR NYC Run DMC tribute in a special color for Lily Green.

Cancer is a brutal, unjust disease that not only impacts the lives of people all over the world but also people we know and those close to us that we love.

QPR NYC is no different.

Jimmy Green is a much loved member of our group, and part of not just our family but the QPR family in general. Whenever we wear our t-shirts back at Loftus Road, I have lost count of how many times I have been asked if I know Jim.

We recently found out that Jimmy’s daughter, Lily, just 23 years old, is bravely facing a rare and aggressive form of pancreatic cancer. Lily was just about to begin her final 12-week clinical fieldwork assignment at NYU Langone in acute care - the last step in completing her Masters degree in Occupational Therapy. She has spent the past five years working tirelessly toward this dream, preparing for a fulfilling career dedicated to helping others.

The Green family - Jim, Louise and siblings Freddie and Isabel - are facing not only the emotional weight of this diagnosis, but also the overwhelming and unforeseen financial costs of treatment and travel.

To Support Lily, Jimmy and the family, QPR NYC are releasing this special edition t-shirt to support her fight and raise awareness for pancreatic cancer. All monies generated from the sale of these shirts are going towards the fund to help the Green family with Lily’s care, and to help Lily beat this.

Why purple?

Purple has been chosen as it is the awareness color of pancreatic cancer, and is also a common color of the Lily.

Pre-order will end on October 10 and will ship in time for November 1. We ask all supporters to wear these shirts for QPR's match on November 1 as November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month.
